My Quaranthing Life

BATCH 2020

Before the pandemic, I already have activities planned with my friends and my classmates for the summer. Nobody expected that this virus will turn out to be much more lethal. This virus hit us by surprise as we Filipinos expected it to be a weak virus and nothing more. But with the late travel ban by our government, it causes the sudden outbreak that happened in Manila and is still ongoing up to this day. People started to panic, the lockdown has been implemented and active cases with Covid are rising fast. Our lives completely changed as we adapt the new policies and lifestyle needed to be safe from the virus.

Hobbies like playing games and listening to music has helped me to cope through summer. Because of the lockdown, social gathering is now prohibited, bonding with friends has been much harder as you are advised to just stay in your home always. So I just stayed home and played video games, watched movies and many other things that can keep me distracted.

ONLINE CLASSES

Because of the pandemic, the traditional way of attending classes is now prohibited as social distancing has been implemented. New ways that have been recommended by the DEPED are through online or by modules. Online classes are courses that are conducted over the Internet. They are generally conducted through a learning management system, in which students can view their course syllabus and academic progress, as well as communicate with fellow students and their course instructor.

Late July, I have been attending online classes up to this day, Zoom meetings and such and Schoology are the apps and websites we use for our online classes. Sending requirements through LMS, socializing through zoom meetings are fun and exciting as it is a new experience for us students. But mostly, it is extremely exhausting and frustrating because of the sudden outage of electricity and internet hiccups. Deadlines are much more stressful as even submitting an output is extremely hard if you have slow internet. For me, the traditional way is much easier than online. We can only hope that the pandemic will stop and everything will go back to normal.
